Spain’s imprisonment of Catalan leaders is a desperate move that will backfire

   Tense situation with separation Catalonia from Spain has not been solved since 2017. The government of Spain interfered into the referendum of independence using the police. Their violent actions shocked people and many human rights organizations around the world.
   I have recently read this article and was bewildered by this situation. I could not imagine the things got so bad. Spain's government breaks all possible human rights. I suppose, they are not eligible to keep Catalan leaders in prison, as they have not broken any laws. This situation must be solved as soon as possible.

   Should other countries somehow interfere? Will Catalonia and Spain find a compromise? How soon will it all end?

Topics for Discussion     Here are topics which I am interested in: 1.  Do smartphones increase or decrease workplace productivity? 2.  How does giving each student access to an iPad or laptop affect their studies? 3.  Do children who attend preschool do better in school later on? 4.  How much exercise should the average adult be getting each week?     The most captivating topics for me are education, technologies and health. Moreover, you can practise here writing, speaking, reading and listening. There is a plenty of exercises.
