Do children who attend preschool do better in school later on?

    It is common knowledge that there are several educational stages that every child should go through. However, preschool is not obligatory for attendance. Weather a child goes to preschool or not depends on his or her parents’ decision. There are three reasons why preschool is useful for children. 

    First of all, professional teachers will help small kids to study everything they will need in school later on. During the class a child receives enough information to assimilate it, and does not become tired. Usually studying is divided into several parts during the day; and between these parts children play games to practise new material and relax. For example, colourful card games will help children to learn numbers, colours and other simple things. So, classes in preschool are properly structured for kid’s development. 

    Secondly, children will become familiar with educational system and with the grade system. Studying at preschool kids will become familiar with all the requirements to receive a certain mark. They will figure out how hard they should study to get an excellent mark. For instance, a teacher can use either numbers or letters to evaluate kid’s knowledge and progress. Thus, connection with a teacher and his or her evaluation is always important for a kid. 

    Finally, children will be able to communicate with peers and also with adults. In preschool kids are usually taught how to behave properly. Teachers should conduct games to introduce children to each other, and to develop their communicative skills. All in all, children will not have problems in making new acquaintances in the future. 

    To sum up, attending preschool will prepare a child to the next educational steps, and give the necessary knowledge base to continue education at primary school.
